Art for Peace – Art and Society

CIPSH and UNESCO initiated, with the key leading collaboration of the Association Mémoire de l’Avenir, an international programme on Art and Society, aiming at the mobilization of Artists for reflection and action, as part of the process to resume the role of the Humanities in contemporary society. This project, which was first presented at the World Humanities Conference, joined hands with a relevant programme on Arts for Peace, led by the Global Chinese Arts and Culture Society, headed by Professor Lin Xiang Xiong.

On the 3rd July 2019, a Forum of debate, reuniting artists and scholars from both Eastern and Western traditions, will publicly initiate this cooperation. The launching of an artists movement was one of the aims of CIPSH in its redressing of the Humanities programme, from 2014.
