Hsiung Ping-chen

HSIUNG Ping-Chen (PhD in History, Brown/SM, Harvard School of Public Health. Professor Hsiung Ping-Chen was first elected CIPSH Secretary General in 2021, and she was reelected in 2023.

She is CIPSH Chair on “New Humanities” at University of California, Irvine, and UNESCO Co-Chair on “Global Asia” at McGill University. She is the founder and past President of Asian New Humanities Net. She holds positions in other important organizations such as the Board Member of the Toynbee Prize Foundation. She was the International Board Member of Consortium for Humanities Centers and Institutes. She was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica in Taiwan, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at National Central University in Taiwan, and Dean of Arts Faculty at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Her research interests include childhood, gender, family history, and health humanities.
